Weather Procedure

Inclement Weather Arrangements

In the event of inclement weather conditions Tinytots will monitor weather conditions through the Hong Kong Observatory. For details of how our classes will operate in such conditions please see below.

For the safety of our students we may need to cancel classes from time to time. If a class is cancelled we will send an SMS as soon as possible to parents/guardians to allow them sufficient time to make alternative arrangements where necessary. Please note we are limited to the forecast of the observatory and can only give as much warning as is provided by them. Further, cancellation will also depend on the venue for example classes held at OUTDOOR venues may be cancelled in lesser weather conditions than INDOOR venues. In the event of a cancellation we offer make up classes within the same term but  no refunds will be given. Please note the following general weather warnings:-

Pollution Index

Classes will only be cancelled if pollution levels are particularly severe. If your child has a respiratory illness, breathing difficulties and/or suffers from conditions such as asthma we would advise that he/she does not attend or that he/she has his/her inhaler or other appropriate prescribed medication on hand.

Rain Warnings

As advised by the observatory “the Amber Rain Signal gives alert about potential heavy rain that may develop into Red or Black signal situations”. In light of the aforesaid the venue at which your child’s class will be held may not be affected. Therefore classes will run as normal unless we advise otherwise.
