Yes it is for boys and girls, they both enjoy our activities during the classes.
We run classes in Stanley Ho Sports Centre (HKU), kindergartens, clubs, public facilities, club houses and primary schools. If you are interested in finding out about our classes locations or bringing Tinytots to your venue please contact us here. We are in 12 different venues around Hong Kong.
The classes are one hour long with the first 10 minutes free play.
The program is designed to start at 18 months (walking to 4 years old) with children divided according to their age group.
The program is divided into the following sports classes:
Tinytots Soccer
Tinytots Basketball
Tinytots Mini-sports (This is the only class which has a mix of sports)
The classes are organized by age to make sure the activities are age-appropriate. The ratios vary depending on the age of the kids involved in the class. For a class with 1 coach, if the kids are 1, 2 or 3 years old, we generally have 12 kids. For 4 year olds, we generally have 12 kids.
A parent / caregiver / guardian must be present with the child at all classes. Parents / caregiver / guardian participate in the classes for the 18 to 36months and the coaches take the 3 and 4 year old classes themselves, but a parent / care giver / guardian must still be present at the venue at all times.
We appreciate that some children are more physically advanced than others but we do not allow children to move up from a parent participation class to one that is not when they are 2 years old. 3 year olds can take limited instructions but 2 year olds find it difficult, so it’s a listening and instruction issue and not a physical one. For the older age groups the coaches will recommend if the child can move up but please do not push them if they say your child is not ready.
Under NO circumstances can a Tinytots child be left at a venue. We are there to provide a fun and constructive course for everyone. Parents/helpers/guardians can seat on the side of the hall at indoor venues for the 3 and 4 year classes but they must be on site at all times just in case of emergency.
No, as long as the class is not full you can enroll at any time and the cost is pro-rated if you enroll in the middle of a session.
For a session your child should always be in the full correct kit, enough drinking water for the session, appropriate footwear for the venue, warm clothing if cold, a sun hat if sunny, sun block if required and any prescribed medicine required for a specific medical condition.
We obviously hope not, but accidents do happen so we are prepared for them. All our coaches are all first aid qualified. In the event of an accident if there is any doubt the coaches will advise you to / or help you to call the emergency services. If your child has any underlying medical condition please make sure you let us know before they participate in any of our lessons.
Absolutely, and that is why we don’t play sports matches for the under 3s. Every child in our program will have their own equipment in all small sided games during each class. This, in turn, increases their opportunities to have fun, learn and improve their skills.
Our program is non-competitive, so all games that we play do not have a winning or losing team. The emphasis is on fun and skill-development so that they enjoy the sport and want to continue playing outside of our program once they are over 5 years of age.
